Hi,

1) False A line contains an infinite number of points, but you only need to know 2 of them to be able to determine its equation.

2) True Think of 2 walls coming together in the corner of a room. They form a vertical line in that corner where they intersect.

3) False if they must all intersect at the same point. True, if that means that any 2 of 3 lines can intersect at one point. If only 2 of the 3 lines have to be at any intersection, you can have 2 or 3 intersections as shown below.

.........\/ 3 lines intersect at 3 different points, 2 lines at each
......../.\
___/__\___
...../........\

____\/____ All 3 lines intersect at one point
........./.\
......./....\

--------/------- 3 lines intersect in 2 points if 2 lines are parallel
........./
......../
-----/---------

I hope that helps!! :-)

Ok' let's see,

1. Incorrect: a line is an infinite collection of points
2. Correct.
3. Incorrect...the solution is a discrete point (x1,y1,z1) that is the solution for all three lines simultaneously.

Good luck!
