Has anyone heard that somewhere in his orgin that he is part demon? I swear I remember reading that before, but now I cant find anything about it...

Remy was stolen by the New Orleans chapter of the Thieves Guild when he was a baby after he was apparently abandoned after birth. The Thieves Guild nicknamed him "Le Diable Blanc" which means "The White Devil". I think that's what you may be referring to, but he's not actually a demon or anything. I believe it had something to do with him being born with red eyes as well as a prophecy that he would play an important part in the Thieves Guild's past and future.

While Gambit's creator is Chris Claremont back in Uncanny X-Men #266. But at that point little to nothing was know about his character's origin. If you read X-Men the end which is also written by Chris Claremont it is revealed that Gambit is a clone of Mr. Sinister. And that Mr. Sinister creates a new body as a back up in case his old one dies. However in that series Gambit lives and Sinister does not. But the whole story is based on a future that will probably never happen. So take it for what it is worth.

No, but he was a member of the Guild and his wife was a member of the Assassins league. I think you're speaking of a terrible What If? story from a few years ago. Now he's quit the X-Men and is their enemy...A marauder.

yes---i think that was in a 'WHAT-IF' story-line from a few years back...don't remember the issue.

i don't remember that, i do think that i remember his real name is remoulade (remy) lebeaux. he used to be my favorite. until hugh jackman bought wolverine to life
