but because she couldn't find peace and happiness within herself.
How would you take it?

@dws2711 "how would you take it" means " how would you accept it.."
-since she made it clear that if it happens it is definitely not because of you.

Seems a bit of a self centred question.. how would *you* take it ??? Do you mean what would you do ? This is no place for questions like this. If you are serious - speak to a close family member or friend or an organization like the samaritans. You get all kind of crazies answering questions on here and nobody can possibly give quality advice based on the very limited information you have given.

Not least me.

Suicide Ideation is SERIOUS!!!!! You need to get your friend to a Professional NOW! You state you care about her, so help her. She is miserable for reasons that need assessment, and treatment. No one should suffer depression to this extent.

Has she told of her plan to do it? like how and when? If she is a minor you must tell her parents, teacher,or someone who'll step up for her. Please don't wait another day. If (God forbid!) she were to do something, you would have to live with it all your life. Good Luck

Call the suicide hotline (encourage her to call them as well), inform her parents, caregiver, teacher, any adult close to her, encourage her to seek help and offer to go w/her to the appointment if you are comfortable with that. This is a serious matter and one that I would not take lightly and sit back and do nothing about. I'm hoping for the best.

You should talk to her parent's or a counseler that can be trusted. I'm serious. I know it may seem like you would be "ratting" out your gf but teen suicide rates are very high and it is quite possible that she will if she is talking about it. Don't worry about her being angry with you b/c at least she will be alive.

I would walk away and never look back. I do not need, nor want, that kind of emotional baggage in my life. I do not need to be with someone so selfish they would rather take their own life than do the work necessary to make their life work. I do not need to be with someone who tries to manipluate me using suicide. So I say if she wants to do it, say goodluck and walk away.

I would immediately call the police and ask them for some contact person to get her help.

I would be scared out of my wits!!!!

GET HELP FOR HER!!!! Tell her parents!!!! Tell a school counselor (if she's still in school...you said GIRL, so I am assuming high school/junior high)

TELL SOMEONE !!!! She may hate you, but SHE NEEDS HELP!!!!

God watch over you both.
