They were down by two with 6 seconds left and App. St. blocked the field goal and they won.

They got beat down all game. A State was quick, played tough D and made the plays when they had to. The QB for Appalachian St. is a baller and basically played out of his mind for 4 quarters. Even with the refs trying to hand the game to the Wolverines justice prevailed. What a great game.

Classic case of underestimating your opponent, looking past a "tune up"game to a "real" game down the road. They really got bit there. They need to run the table now, beat Ohio
State and win the division to get the fans back and put this loss behind them.

they wanted an easy game to start out the season but they put their hand on the wrong stove. Appalachian State is the 2 time defending champs of Div-1AA and I think if they played Div-!A they would fare well.
