I found this caterpiller looking thing in my backyard but i dont know what it is? im trying to figure out if its a grub caterpiller and a regular caterpiller by the way it looks.

Catepillar is the larval form of moths and butterflies. Grubs are the larval form of beetles.

Caterpillars: 6 legs on the first 3 body segments, prolegs(sorta like legs) on middle and last segments.

Grubs: 6 legged with distinct head, often plump, may have spines.......if your object is long, lean and hard shelled, it might be a wireworm (click beetle larvae)

a grub one is brownish face and looks like it will bite its white on the rest of the body.
