If they crowned the mvp based on the true meaning of the title, it would be Reyes. He is by far the most valuable player to any national league team. However, unfortunately, the mvp is usually the player with the best overall numbers. So, I think it will be David Wright. His numbers are great all around, and he is playing for a first place team. He has 24 home runs, he's hitting .316, he has 87 rbi's, and he has 30 stolen bases. Lets not forget his 92 runs scored, his 82 walks, and his .410 on base %. Couple that with the fact that he has been getting hotter and hotter as the season has progressed (.400 ba in july), and you have the making of the mvp. There are a few players with similar or better numbers, however, they are playing for bad teams, so their chances of being crowned mvp are slim.

At this point, I would say Ryan Howard. If David Wright has a good September, it could be him.

Reyes or Rollins, both are premier Short stops, and they both ignite their respective teams with their play. Being a Phillies Fan, I'll lean towards J-Roll...........

Of course utley, holliday, renteria have better avereges than him but he's still the best slugger of all times and he has a
.484 OBP average and his name is Barry Bonds.
P.s. why are you all obsessed with rollins and reyes, please compare them with utley and renteria!
