Depends on if in your view all is random. If all is random, it is a very random word. If all is not random, what is random is that it is random. Its one of those cases in which it is only itself insofar as it "is".
As far as a random question, the most random won't ever be intelligible, like "43928375?". But if you're going for a random effect, its good to avoid the word random, if that is specifically what is being judged. Statistically speaking the word random should be expected in random questions.
Your question certainly concerns the "essence of random", so from a philosophical view I would say yes it is a "question of random". However, in terms of lines of reasoning, it is not an unexpected reason; it is very reasonable to pursue the question of a given thing in terms of itself or its own qualities. In that sense its rather predictable, even if sound.
In terms of a computer program or suchlike (how rand(500) is word amongst rand(500)), the program is very much concerned with random, but this is partly the implementation.
In general it can sometimes be useful to distinguish the concept of random from the complete futility of parsing the meaning of an implementation. In the first case your question is philosophically random, in the second case it is random in the popular sense.

As random as the word random is, and as random as your question about how random the word random is and if the question is a random question, this is about as random an answer as your gonna get, because random people will spot your random question and randomly answer it in about as random a manner as I have just done. Why did I answer? I picked your question at random!
