Blown Head gaskets

I had this problem, and it drove me crazy, it ended up that my head had a crack in the exaust port that allowed hot gasses to enter the water jacket super heating the water. It did not loose much water so I thought it was just evaporating because it was hot. Start the engine and look into the radiator after it's warmed up, then look for bubbles and foam in the water, and a little water on your hand if you put it next to the tail pipe, might even feel like steam. Hope this helps you pin it down.

wow thats a lot of parts thrown into this car already , sounds like you might have a restricted radiator , or a blown headgasket ,(minor ) that causes it to overheat at idle , also seen something on my tech site about these cars have the lower radiator hose collapsing thus restricting coolant flow . also the thermostat did you replace it or the dealer ( use on factory thermostats on this car )

check your fan belt. try to turn the fan, if you can turn the fan it could be the belt. sometimes the fan belt gets a glaze on it that's slippery enough to keep it from cooling wright.
