For my birth control, my pills are 2 weeks white 1 week blue and 1 week green. The green ones are supposed to be the period week ones.
Do i have to actually take those or not since they don't have hormones in them?
I mean if i miss one of those, does it really make a difference?

Those are really just reminder pills that either don't have anything in them or maybe contain iron to help counteract the blood loss from your period. It honestly doesn't matter if you skip one or all of them, as long as you can remember to start your new pack on the right day at the right time.

They are there to help you remember to take 1 pill a day. missing a pill or 2 is the most common reason birth control pills fail, so keep in the 1 a day habit.

Usually the last week of pills are just a sugar pill. They are just to remind you to take them every day so you don't get off track. Some types of pills do still have some hormone in the last week. I would double check with your doctor or pharmacist to make sure that it is OK to skip them.

They are there to help ensure you remember to take your pill at the same time every day.

You should talk to a doctor before you think of doing that, as SOME pills DO have hormones in those last week pills.

Usually they're just iron pills because the blood loss from your period can make you a bit anemic. It's up to you. Also, some people skip the green ones completely and just start a new pack so they don't have a period at all.
