They say that Jessica Alba is the Phoebe Cates of our time. I agree with that but i've been watching Phoebe Cates video clips on Youtube and her beauty was much more exquisite than Jessica's.

Pheobe Cates had a depth and mystery that went along with her innocence that surpasses the plain prettiness of Jessica Alba. Anyone who picks Jessica over Pheobe is just too young to have experience the FIRE Pheobe came with in the 80's. Everyone always talks about her in Fast Times... but I loved her in LACE!

I grew up in the 80's, but in my opinion, Jessica Alba has an exotic air to her that Phoebe Cates doesn't have. That, in my book, pushes her past Phoebe Cates in the beauty department. Plus, from what I see in interviews & the like, Jessica seems more down to earth. I always felt Phoebe Cates "knew" she was pretty & she acted snobbish because of it.

Pheobe Cates was perhaps cuter, especially about the time she appeared in "Gremlins", but Jessica Alba is far more physical. Not as pretty, I'd say, but a whole lot sexier.

Phoebe Cates, of course, was very pretty too, during her hey days.
Comparison is unfair, since beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder and is thus, essentially, subjective.

That's a very HARD choice for any guy. Both are extreme. But what does Phoebe look like these days? I haven't seen any pictures taken after the 80's.
