It's probably a little late. It'll take it's time.

There is nothing you can do to make the baby come early if it is not ready.
If your cervix isn't dilating, then walking/curries will not work. Walking only works by getting the baby to go head down, and into a lower position.
The curry and castor oil will only make you go to the toilet, which in some people is a sign that labour is starting, it will not make labour start. The confusion comes from after having had the curry/oil, you open your bowels and the downward movement may encourage the baby to drop downwards slightly.
When you see your midwife, ask for a sweep, that is usually guaranteed to get things moving. I think the midwife will probably suggest it given that you are over your due date.

I can definitely sympathize with your being overdue by a day now- I actually delivered my son 8 days after my due date. I actually had a "sweep" done about 3 days before I had my baby- it's definitely uncomfortable! Whether it worked or not I don't know- I think I read that labor should begin within 48 horus of a sweep, so either the sweep did me no good and my son just made his way out on his own when he was ready, or it did work, but a day later than the usual.
When I was overdue, it was hard to keep my mind on anything other than "Am I going to go into labor soon?" "When is this baby going to come out?" but at the advice of friends and family I did manage to do a few things to keep my mind off of it. I did a couple of "art projects" for his room, despite being crafty it did pass the time. I read parenting/pregnancy books. I packed and re-packed my hospital bag a thousand times. I played games online, talked with friends on the phone, went outside and did some photography. Surely there's something you can do to help yourself pass the time.

I went 42 weeks with both of my kids. nothing you do will make that baby come any faster unless the doctor sticks you in the hospital and gives you medication. Usually all castor oil does is give you a bowel movement or diarreaha. somethimes the cramsp from that will cause labor but only if your body is ready for a baby. If your cervix is not even soft and thined out no baby is due to come. usually if you start getting overdue they will do a sonagram to make sure your placenta is still in good shape to take care of the baby. Otherwise try and use this time for rest because when the baby comes that will be out the window.

Dont take anymore, it can cause the baby to have its first bowel movement.
Re the sweep, it depends from area to area, but where I live the first sweep is 5 days after the due date.
I went four days over, spent the evening assembling a sideboard (lol, dumb I know!) and then an hour on a birthing ball bouncing up and down.
1 hour later i was in labour

hi
Hun I'm sorry your feeling fed up but your baby is not ready yet otherwise the things you have tried would of worked i really don't think you should be taking the Castor oil its so dangerous and can cause harm and could lead to complications during labor
keep active and have lots of sex make sure when you do have sex you put your legs up bum on pillow so the sperm drops down to your cervix its so it can help soften it up that's why they say try sex (was told by my midwife in my last pregnancy)
you haven't got long to go so hang in there I'm sure things will get moving for you soon
good luck

My due date was also yesturday and there is still no sign for me too. Im totally fed up too!
Let me know if any of the things you tried work and ill have a go too if i dont go into labour soon.
There is nothing wrong with asking for a sweep, im unsure if the midwife will refuse or not, but i got offered one for a week after my due date if theres still no sign, im unsure how long they usually let you wait before they offer you one, but theres no harm in asking.
Let me know when you go into labour. Good luck!

Well, I am right in the same boat as you. I was a week over yesterday and still waiting. Tuesday they will be inducing if it doesnt happen by then. I don't wanna be induced so I am trying everything and nothing seems to be working.
What I am trying now is to just relax and try not to think about it. The main thing that is driving me nuts is people constantly calling asking me if i am in labor (people like sister, mother... people we will call as soon as i am...!) and people telling me when i need to have the baby and that i need to have it soon and bla bla bla... ok, thats nice YOU think that but how about we just let it happen? cuz WE have no control over when these babies are born. I have just come to realize that!
sorry... hopefully you have yours soon.

I was overdue on 3 of mine & it does seem to take forever at the end....for me the last month felt longer than the 1st 5 mths!! Try to relax as much as possible & pamper yourself while you can. you can ask the midwife to do a sweep but it is up to them if they will or not. Good Luck & Congratulations
