Yes it's both annoying and rude!
Even though I am a man myself I have noticed that it is very much a man thing to do. Why I do not know..??
I am in Brazil and the drivers here are very, very rude and often drive very aggressively only a few Cm's behind your car. However, it very common here and everyone seems to do it so its an everyday occurrence and therefore most people do not get vexed about it and simply move over.
What is it with men and cars...??
Boy racers, drink driving, large cars far bigger and more powerful than necessary.

It is very aggravating and , there are all kinds of irritating people behind the wheel of cars as well in the mall.
Just ignore them and move into another lane or wait them out until you reach your destination.
Making eye contact or "signals" can cause' road rage ' in many otherwise normal people. Better to just complain here on Answers and leave the bad drivers alone.

OMG Yes!!! I hate that. I also hate the people who cannot stay within their freaking lines when they park, so they end up taking a parking space and a half when two people could have parked in two seperate spaces!
I wish sooooooooo bad at those moments that I was like a undercover cop or something so I could bust them! Ha Ha! Cheers!

Yes I do, and usually it's a Massachusetts driver.
There's a funny bumper sticker out there that says:
"I'm not tailgating I'm drafting" or you could put this one on your car: "Quit honking, I'm reloading" good luck out there.

Yeah. I have a way of pissing people off when they tailgate me. I slow down about 15-20 Mph. They usually get the hint after that.

when moving yes
when stopped at traffic lights no
where i live there is a design fault at the traffic lights
that is the right hand filter lane is to short and if you do not bunch up it causes a one mile queue which pushes traffic
back onto the old roads causing more problems

Do you mean when parking??? Are you the person who I had to pull right up to in order to park legally in Sheffield yesterday afternoon simply because your expensive German sallon was sprawled across two bays and was taking up at least 5 foot of the room in the 'vacant' bay? And then I got back to find an abusive note to tell me 'to keep my distance or learn to park'. On the very off chance it is you (and what are the chances of that????) then strongly suggest you learn to park YOUR car within ONE parking space before having a go at others....
