we just don't know, we've only been finding extrasolar planets for the past twentyish years. There is said to be at least 100 Million Stars in our galaxy and if those had at least one planet which is not true but other stars compensate, we could be talking 200 Millions planets in our galaxy, multiple that by the number of galaxies out there, at about 100 million, we'll we're talking about at least a trillion trillion at the lower end of the amount. There are at the moment 8 planets in our solar system, Pluto was demoted.
