Hi everyone, I was hoping someone could tell me what the climate is like in Cuba in February / March - is it quite hot and when is the rainy season over there? All in all, are these months a good time to go on holiday in Cuba?
Also, can someone tell me if I go through a travel agency and stay in a hotel complex, how easy is it to get around and explore the real Cuba?
Thanks in advance.

Those months are among the very best in the year to visit Cuba, as it will not be too hot and all danger of hurricanes will be long past. You can rely on very warm sunny weather. For travelling around some people rent cars (there is, apparently, a real headache over people helping themselves to bits and pieces when you park it anywhere), taxis (which are plentiful and inexpensive) or buses. http://www.usacubatravel.com/bus.htm
You're going to have a great time! Buen viaje!

Cuba is only 90 miles from Florida, and so has a similar climate.

Rainy season - May to November.
Hot - April to October.
February / March is one of the best times to visit - not cold, but not too hot.
The only problem is that many of the hotels are quite full, as that is when the Canadians come here to escape their winter.

If you can afford to hire a car, it is relatively easy to explore Cuba. If you are more on a budget, it depends to some extent where you are staying. (A lot of the main tourist resorts are some distance from anything approaching "the real Cuba"). Most hotels have organised coach trips to visit places away from the resort.

During those months it´s not that hot (I used to live there and now I live in Southern Florida, but if u live in a kind of cold place you might think it's super hot). I don't think those are the rainy months, May is. Just take lots of shorts, tank tops, and clothes made with ligth and breezy fabric. Well, as for the other question, I don't think they'll keep an eye on you 24/7, so i'm pretty sure u can get out of the hotel and explore, but you should be careful and it wouldn't be a good idea for u to walk around La Habana by yourself.

BY THE WAY, IF YOU LIVE IN THE US THAT SHELBY PERSON IS TOTALLY WRONG!!!!! THEIR WINTER AND SUMMER SEASONS ARE THE SAME AS OURS, I KNOW THAT FOR A FACT.

Chances are you will have great weather. Sure you can have some liquid sunshine but not enough to worry about. Hurricane season ended at the end of November. You can rent a car and away you go. Some secondary roads are not that good but the highways are. Please check the sites below, they will give you lots of info.

actually I was at Club Ancon near Trinidad on the Caribbean coast for two weeks this past March. Not a drop of rain except during one night.

it is not chilly in the experience which you think of of chilly in, say, the Midwest of the US. that is COOL and a mild sweater or jacket can sense sturdy at circumstances, quite at night. plenty relies upon on the wind... there's a ONE degree drop in the temperature for each KNOT of wind.. so while you're on a coastline or in a Tiki Bar and the ambient temp. is70 levels however the wind is blowing 25 knots, the sounds like temp could be approximately 50 levels.
