You could use $10 dollar mats at a craft or hardware store and tack them up on your fence if you had one. Or get a rectangular table and cut the legs off a little and it could be a meditation table. Waterfalls and water features work well. Potted bamboo plants.

This is such a small space, you would be well advised to make a niche like the ones otherwise found along paths and in corners of a larger garden. I saw some nice ones both at the Japanese Garden in Ft. Worth and in a water features sales store in Garland, TX, where green plants with slow growth formed walls around space with a stone "shelf" and a dripping or softly flowing water feature.
