DIY DOC has the right idea
short of that drill hole in wall
and put a green slug in there
then put towel up
and screw in to the green slug

thats about the only 2 ways to do it

with diy doc's method u would have to watch the weight of the towel

Try applying some of that 3M tacky strip (it is removeable) to the back of a clip...Try those clips used in offices for large bundles of paper. These are metal and have a strong grip. Probably be able to paint them too, if you wanted.

I would get one of those Command hooks made by 3 M and stick it on the wall. When you want to take it down ; simple just pull it off according to directions.
Permant one wanted? Use Super Glue
