The factory finish on a new car is unique. It cannot not be duplicated by wax or polish. These things actually destroy the factory finish.
Isn't there something better in the year 2007 that will actually preserve the finish?

You just pointed out why you did not want wax and right away you people telling you to use wax.
These guys are correct wax can be helpful under certain circumstances but you asked about something new that would preserve the finish.... Wax will not do it.
No new car ever looks the same after its been waxed.
What you are looking for is a pure liquid paint conditioner.
There is a new one, first of its kind to my knowledge and I've done detail work for close to 10 years.
Called VaporWax. There is nothing on the market to compare it with today.
It goes on in a vaporized mist and the effects last for months.

Remember wax can have polishing grit (cleaner wax) or be free of any polish (just south american carnuba plant resin). GO on line mequires.com there is science to protections waxes and polishing the clear coats. Ultraviolet exposure and bird droppings tree sap and acid rain all etch into the paint too. Wax coating might be the lesser of the two evils.
