Wax consists of solid particles that leave swirl markes in the paint. these marks remove the factory finish over time.

Is there a true new car treatment that will not hurt the factory finish?

Please.... none of the common every day waxes on the market today.
They all consists of cheap abrasive based wax or a water based product that begins to dull the next day.
not PTFE treatments they destroy the paints finish.
New ideas only please. I am looking for new technology in automotive detailing.

The newest concept is paint conditioners. They are designed to make old paint look new and new car factory paint stay looking new.
Liquid conditioners are sprayed on and absorbed into the paint. They eliminates the need for buffing Wax or Polish.

I use automagic new car glaze and 700 rpm to burnish it into the paint. then 1350 rpms to gloss it up And double sided 3m buffing cotton pads. Old fashioned Carnuba wax and elbow grease on a correctly cleaned surface. I don't even wax a car until the paint is a year old. That lets the thinners out of the paint. My friend the car painter says clear coat paint never needs waxing just repaint the car when it dulls. But there is something great looking about a fresh wax job. I tried turtle wax ice and did not like the results. Haven't tried Mequires Nxt gen tech wax yet. I use the heck out of Mother's california gold, and Classic Wax. Yes everything you rub on a car wears away clear or color coat. I find if I wax it protects the finish from bird droppings water spots and industral fall out.

i still like nu finish been around awhile but still seems to work. at my last job we use to use TST paint sealant. i believe it had a 7 year warranty and with that you were at least the claim is to"never wax again". there was a TST 3000 and a TST 5000. the one(3000) is just a wipe on wipe off the other (5000) is a whipe on buff off. seem to work really good. lot of the higher end cars from some dealerships were always getting it done.

You can go to a paint shop and they can spray on "Clear Coat" protective seal over the paint
Rub on 4 to 5 coats of clear lacquer
use a good silicon based wax, U-Finish or something that good.
