My SRS airbag light wont turn off and i cant get a WOF. Its a 97 mitsubishi charisma, how do i turn it off?

SRS and air bag problems have to be repaired at the dealership or some one that has a Japan scan tool that will read and clear the air bag code after the repair is done. And actually a 10 year old car's air bag system is in need of replacement. Check the laws in your area I don't think air bag light on will actually fail a safety inspection and applie for a hardship certification because it could cost thousands to replace the air bag parts.
