I had happy times as a child, but for the most part I had a bad childhood. My father was abusive so alot of my childhood memories are painful. But I try not to dwell on those. I am just trying to focus on giving my kids a happy childhood.

Not a happy childhood, but it made me stronger, the more people lose the stronger they become. I see it now with a different understanding and that I wasn't blessed with happy memories, but it gave me determination and clarity about the world. And those memories will mark the future I'll make.

It was happy at the time, and that's all that matters. I happen to know NOW it was pretty strange, but that's okay. It was still happy.
