Before I started on birth control my vaginal fluid was always clear when I masterbated, but now that I have started taking birth control, and after my first period, every time I have masterbated my vaginal fluid has had a reddish almost brownish like hue to it. This doesn't seem normal to me, and I have an appointment with my ob/gyn in a couple of weeks. Should I try to get in earlier or call and ask, or could it just be excess blood from my period?

This could be as a result of your body trying to adjust to being on the pill if you have just started taking it, but I would recommend calling on Tues to see if you can get in sooner to have this evaluated further.

It depends when you started taking the pill.

If you started the first active table on the first day of your period, you will probably have almost a continual bleeding throughout the month till you reach the time of your next period, have your inactive pills, and then go onto the next months pills.

I started taking the pill over two years ago and my doctor told me to start the active pills when my period started. I would never recommend this. If you ever have to change pills or go off and back on them, start the first active pill on the last day or the day after of your period.

If however, you are on your second period or you did start taking the active pills after the end of your period, it might be wise to consult your doctor.

Hope that helps!

You are doing the right thing by going to the doctor. It sounds like some kind of blood residue issue.
I give you a lot of credit...a ton of credit...for being honest about masturbation. I have known so many women who claim they never masturbate, that it is something only men do.
You have a lot of honesty in your soul. I would really like to meet a woman as honest as you.

It sounds like normal spotting. I'm the same way with sex. Its probably just something to do with the way the pills affect the mucous and the lining.
