Omg are we twins ??

I'm exactly the same age as you and I've had my period for about two years and I'm exactly the same !

Only I also get cramps and occasionally migraines and everything just goes completely mental :S.

I've never thrown up either but my tummy always gets upset and I feel absolutely sick to my stomach. Ugh.

Oh yeah, and the major mood swings/

But I remember doing Sex Ed. when we were younger and they said that some girls can get sick for the first few days of their period and it's completely normal.

Only mine isn't as bad as you because my periods are not at all regular and I normally have about six weeks or so between them, so although I'm heavy, it's not constant. :(

But my friend used to have extremely heavy periods + cramps every two weeks when she was eleven, so eventually she went to the doctors and because it was so bad they put her on the pill to lighten everything despite her age.

she took the pill every day except the days each month she was supposed to bleed and during those days she would have a light, unpainful period.. so you could try that.

If you don't want to try your doctors you could go to a pharmacist or health shop and get the stuff my mum takes to stop her breast pain each month being unbearable.

I'm really sorry I can't remember the name of this herbal stuff - but it really works ! If she runs out she is in soo much pain, and it's a natural remedy to help alleviate all women's problems. I have a feeling it's called evening Primrose but I'm not too sure, I'll go check then tell you.

Hope I've been of some help and offered you some sort of advice to help with it all ! Good luck. x

Because pain is usually a warning signal from your body, it is important that the pain is investigated. But period pains can, however, be unusual in that there may actually be nothing medically wrong and are simply an abnormal functioning of your body around the time of your period. This is pretty good news because it means that if you can get things back into balance, you'll not only get rid of the pain but you'll prevent it from returning. What the natural approach aims to do is to treat the condition, not simply mask the pain or 'turn off' your cycle. Furthermore, if you work to put your body back into balance, all aspects of health and well-being will be improved.
Vitamin B6 is needed to help produce 'good' prostaglandins which help to relax and widen blood vessels as opposed to 'bad' prostaglandins which increase the womb contractions and increase the pain. So it is worth taking a good B-complex supplement. This vitamin has been shown to significantly reduce the intensity and duration of period pains.

I suffer from Dysmenhorra (i think that's how its spelt hee hee) excruciatingly painful periods, its so bad I'm sick and have to have time off work, its not the usual period pain most people can contend with, I'm on medication called Mefanamic Acid tablets but as you suffer more from heavy periods your doctor will probably offer you the pill to help calm them down, some people have heavy periods some have really light periods, we are all different, don't worry, my periods used to be quite heavy but now I'm on the medication they have become very light despite the pain, I empathise with you, I'm 24 and had it since I was 16, I was 14 when I first came on my period and had no pain then it hit me two years later and I collapsed in the Ladies room at college, it was very frightening, its so bad I I often want someone to put me out of my misery and knock me out, the pain sometimes starts for me up to two weeks before i'm due on and often I get morning sickness but you will get through it, there are different kinds of contraception/pills available, go see your doctor and she will help you, she's bound to have seen others who have the same problem, good luck!

No its not normal i get like this too, as well as getting the runs which like you i would prefer just plain bad cramps over the sick feeling and the runs so i can sympathize.
Please go to a doctor, because it isnt normal to have this much pain and feel like this. The doctor will probably run a few tests to make sure everything is ok, like no ovarian cysts or anything and then maybe start you on the pill to see if that helps at all!
Good luck and feel better!

You may be having dysfunctional uterine bleeding or DUB which is pretty common for girls who have just had their period for a few years..... you need to see a gynecologist for this, especially if you are bleeding too much each time you have your period which can cause anemia and consequently poor concentration and performance in school. Your doctor will probably do a progesterone challenge which will entail you to take a pill for about 10 days.... ask your mom to bring you to her gyne!

Very heavy periods all the time are not a normal thing and needs to be evaluated by your doctor to see what they think is going on. Please let your doctor know how sick you get with your periods the first two days because this is also not a normal thing.

i used to have this problem when i was at school all the time. my Dr put me different types of the pill and none of them worked. i then when to the family planning centre and they advised me to have an implanon implant fitted in my arm.
ever since i have had this done my periods are much lighter ( 3days) i and never have any pain.
i would advise you to see your Dr or family planning centre and they will find the best option for you.
please be patient as it may take some time to find the right one for you.

Go to the doctor. They will put you on the pill and that should regulate them and make them less heavy.
