what are the necassary documents to get married. not a religious wedding just a regitery marriage.
is a birth certificate necassary?
or is a british passport enough proof?

Call the city hall, they will tell you. You don't even need to get married in a church. You can get married at city hall. But remember, its super easy to get married, but a total you know what to get divorced. Make sure its right, and if you love each other make it work. Don't get divorced over lame things. Only get married if you have Unconditional Love!

You do need ur birth certificate and other info that shows that u r u and that you have the right info

The only thing that we needed in VA, was a copy of our drivers license or state ID.

A Certificate of Marriage provides proof of marriage, social security and is useful in obtaining visas for spouses to travel together.
