YES, just put it in a PC, even an old one like a P3 or AMD socket A. Then use Power DVD to play your DVD movies.

You mean you have a DVD-ROM drive? Is it already in your pc? If so you don't need to do anything just get DVD software like PowerDVD mentioned above, you DO NOT need a DVD RW to play DVD

I hope you don't mean convert your DVD-ROM into a stand alone player, it doesn't work like that

convert the actual drive, NO!

go to the store and buy a new drive, you can get a LiteOn DVD -/+ RW for a dance (and a little cash) and then remove the old drive (or not) and install the new one in a slot.

OR

get a External USB DVD -/+ RW Drive (a bit more expensive, but no need to open the case) and use that.

you have options and choices
