ok so i need help with math problems because i have no idea what the problems are asking me to do

its says write an equivalent experession
4+m
9y
3a+5

how to i write the equivalent problem? use different numbers move them around?
give direction and answers

also how to write using an exponential notation?

n times n times 2 times n times n

and 5 times c times c times ctimes c

thanx in advance

im not sure some of my answers. but i hope these helps...

4+m = m+4
9y = 3 * 3y
3a+ 5 = 5+3a

n*n*2*n*n = 2 * n^1* n^1* n^1* n^1 = 2 * n^4 = 2n^4

5*c*c*c*c = 5 * c^1* c^1* c^1* c^1 = 5 * c^4 = 5c^4

There is no single best answer to the equivalent expressions problems. For example,
4 + m = 3 + m + 1 = (8/2) + m =2 + 3 - 1 + 2*(m/2), and so on. You are merely being asked to write ANYTHING which is equal to the given expression. I'm not surprised you are confused--these are stupid questions.

On the other hand, the questions about exponential notation have unique answers if usual conventions are followed. Other responders have answered these questions correctly.

First the equivalent expression, the 9y can be divided into 3* 3y, and I think the other two can be multiplied to give equivalent expressions ex: 4+m = 2(4+m) = 8+ 2m.

When you have muliple of letter, just count the number of letters and put that number in the exponent ex: n*n*2*n*n has 4n therefore the answer is 2n^4.

4 + m = m + 4
9y = 9*y = 3*3*y = y*3*3 =
(3^2)y = y (3^2)

3a + 5 = 3*a + 5 = 5 + 3*a =
3(a+5/3) = 5(3/5*a+1)

n times n times 2 times n times n =
[{(n^n)^2}^n]^n

and 5 times c times c times c times c=
[[{(c)^c}^c]^c]^5
