Morrison is on the list of alleged wrestlers in the signature pharmacy agreement.WWE won't release these names til Nov.1st but the New York DA's office has the list of all 11 stars.10 will be suspended for 30 days & 1 for 60 as it's a 2nd strike.
The world titles don't usually change hands at a house show as it's not televised.I would say that Morrison is 1of the stars implicated here.CM Punk has been building up a head of steam in his feud with Morrison & it was only a matter of time he got pushed.With this crisis CM's time has come early.As a fan of his that's no bad thing.One comedown will be that Punk has 1 less worthy star to fight with on ECW.

At the September 1, 2007 ECW taping in Cincinnati, Ohio, Punk defeated John Morrison for the ECW Championship, and becoming the first wrestler to hold the ROH World Championship and the ECW Championship.
cuz punk is main event material and has been losing continuosly
all those rumors about morrison being suspended are lies.

Maybe they plan to transfer John Morrison now so he must ditch the belt. Plus CM Punk has been highlighted as a main eventer for too long and now he is actually in the main event

Maybe they saw the rationale in putting the title on a straight edge hardliner instead of some juiced up gas head. Let's face it, if anyone's going to feel the sting of the suspension bug, it'll be John Hennigan.
I think the change, if it does happen, will have little to do with ratings and more to do with appearance. Let's face it, if you're not watching ECW by now, you're not going to, no matter whose champion

Maybe for ratings but also, John Morrison was one of the original names placed on that steroid list so it is likely he will be suspended for 30 days

Morrison's been suspended for steroid use, and CM Punk just happens to be the one that he was feuding with at the time, so he got the belt by default.
This is not to say that he doesn't deserve the title, of course.

I think I read that John Morrison was suspended for some drug thing.
