All beliefs are based on ones perception. If you perceive something that makes since to you, a belief is created. Therefore all the religions in the worlds are perceived by their believers as the answer for them in their lives. That is why there are so many different religions out there, as perception is reliant on environmental factors as much as individual experience. Thus the world is a colourful rainbow of perception and beliefs.

Perception is insight or knowledge of how you think something is!
Belief is putting your trust into that knowledge!
I would say perception therefore would be the most accurate!

Neither of them, are always right. Perception is how you see something, and your belief is how you feel about it. For example, if you see two women kissing does that mean they are homosexual? And even if they are, just say you believe homosexual people shouldn't be able to have children, does that mean they can't? It's not against the law, or they shouldn't be able to get married because you think it is wrong? Sometimes both get the better of you.

My heart.

People have dropped it, stepped on, danced a jig all over it, and still it is the strongest muscle in my body. I never gave up on them. I just choice to let it happen. Was it something I believed in? Was it something I perceive? Yes. But it was more accurately something I felt, I cared for, I became part of. My heart. You can't get anymore accurate than it. Don't you trust your own heart? I rest my case.
