God is what is inside your heart. The warm fuzzy feeling you get when all is well. The feeling you get when you do something good and nothing is expected in return.
No one person can prove by show and tell what God is. There is one thing that can be proved, something or perhaps someone if you will, is causing everything on this earth to do what it is doing day after day.
There is no wrong or right answer. Every religeon points to a universal being that is comming or here already to save the earth. Agnostic beliefs are also correct in "I have to see it to believe it" belief. Pointing again to No one person can provide proof other than hear say from a book or handed down "factual stories"...
If you feel good about yourself and everything around you then God is working in your life. If you are afraid and distraught about life and where you are going, then there is a lack of faith in what you believe to be certian destiny.
#2 point, what is Hell? Hell is described as a place of torment and dispair. A place for one to be put into torment and torture for his action and or ways he has lived. Let me ask you this, what comes way before any of these things take place. A person's conscience leads them down a dark path of dispair and lonsomeness after doing terrible things. They might run away from their thoughts, by doing other things for awhile, but anything can never run from their mind. It is always there to remind that there has been a wrong commited and needs to be fixed. To me this is Hell, perhaps here on earth, but if one never rights the wrong, what is hell for a lifetime, torture...

Early mankind needed some answers about the world around him and something to ease his fear of the dark, so he imagined superior creatures which evolved into his gods. Tribal chiefs needed something more than their will to control those under them, so religion was created to control the behavior of the people. Today, most intelligent, unbrainwashed, and scientifically trained people, realize that the gods of this earth cannot possibly exist. They know that strong adherence to one religion over another leads to war and suffering. People's spiritual needs can be met by means other than earth's destructive gods and religions.

nothing inside time and space could have made the universe as it is. because whatever created the earth must have had a Creator. the original thing can not have had a creator inside time and space. this is where God comes in. as he is not inside time and space he does not need a creator and he could be the original thing. the meaning is an answer to a question that can not really be answered so they use God

That question has about as many different answers as there are people.
For me, God is love, tolerance and peace. God makes me compassionate and empathic. God makes me feel good when I chose to put someone else's needs before my own. God provides all that I need (although not necessarily all that I want). God provides me with comfort in times of sorrow and helps me rejoice in times of happiness.
"Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest." (Matthew 11:28)
Although I chose to belong to an organized religion, God is not church. God is spirituality.

No meaning. The only god I know is "deus ex machina", an often referred-to character in classical theatre.
(pls try to ask better questions next time)
P.S. Ruffled cc ... who created the Creator ???

Read "Conversations With God". It is a three part series of books. It's a book that will challenge you no matter what name you use for your god. It's a very down to earth book(no pun intended).

I don't think there is a "meaning" of god, he just is. At least that's what he said: "I am that I am." to describe himself.
