I started getting symptoms yesterday but didn't realize what it was until today. I started taking AZO today but it says I can't take it for more than 2 days. The soonest I can see a doctor is Tuesday because they're closed tomorrow (Sunday) and Monday is Labor day. So what do I do until then!?
Can UTI's just disappear on their own? I remember having one a few years ago and I didn't treat it, but it went away after a week. It might have been something different though.

It is not recommended that you treat a UTI on your own. Complication may arise such as pyleonephritis, where the infection travels to your kidneys. This can become a much more serious matter.
It is also important to make sure your symptoms are from a bladder infection and not from another nature. Pelvic Inflamatory diseases can mimick symptoms of UTI and require different treatment modalities. Proper tests (urinalysis) need to be done to ensure the proper diagnosis is made.
Some measure you can take on your own are to drink lots of water. Flushing out you kidneys is important, Cranberry juice has also been shown to be beneficial for supporting the "good" bacteria and inhibiting the "bad" ones.
Drink plenty of water and see the doctor as soon as you can get in. Better safe than sorry.

Cranberry Juice can aid in relieving Urinary Tract Infections. This will happen because it will flush the system you will go for the lack of a better term "potty" more frequently make sure to also drink plenty of water during this time.
You should still see your Dr. if it is causing great discomfort by all means go to the Emergency Room or Local Late Night Health Clinic if one is available in your area. Good Luck.

You'll defnitley need antibiotics and it will get much much worse if you don't get to the doctor ASAP. Bladder infections can turn into kidney infections if left untreated which are much more serious. If you can manager until Tuesday, use the AZO and and you can also try Cystex which will help with the frequency and pain. If you get an pains in your side or feel very naseous, go to the emergency room or call the on-call doctor at your primary care's office.
Feel better soon!

No, urinary tract infections do not clear up on their own. Only an antibiotic can clear it up.
I would recommend drinking a lot of water and also call your doctor's after hours line to see if your doctor is on call to see if they might be able to give you additional suggestions to help til you can get in to see them on Tues.

They will go away on their own, mine always do. Another thing you can do is drink lots of cranberry juice (real cranberry juice). It helps clear them up, and prevent them.
