Or Would you Say Experience Itself Is The Ultimate Contributor Of Knowledge?

Yes to both statements. You can learn from the opposition. It's a different point of view, so there's always something to learn. I'm trying to learn to think outside of the box because I know that my personal beliefs are not the only way to live. Any experience I have will contribute to my knowledge. I learn from past mistakes and past successes. You learn from doing; sometimes it's all in the experience.

Yes, conflicting surroundings definatley contribute to our knowledge. With the confliting surroundings you are always immersed in both sides of everything. Take me for example; I am a quiet guy that never really tried to socialize, and I live on a boat with 10 other people that talk, flirt, and socialize non-stop. By living here, in this drasticly opposite surrounding, I have learned te opportunities that social behavior opens, as well as the bonds that it creates.

What do you mean by conflicting surroundings?

We gain practical knowledge through experience, as we observe patterns in our world that allow for predictability.

Actually, it's both, conflicting surroundings and experiences. We learn and gain knowledge in everything we do.

Many times it is expierence that triggers the very thoughts which change our lives. Would we have had the Gettysburgh Address without the battle of Gettysburgh? I don't know if could be considered " ultimate" or not but I feel that it is very important.
