Communism has been shown through history that it simply does not work. The government has to be rich and in charge, one day a person looks up and says, why can't "I" and asks "why" that is not allowed in a communistic society, think about it. Look what happen in Russia, the people are poor, the stores are empty, there's no cars on the streets, no one, or not many, work unless they kiss a.... so, you want to be a communist, go to Cuba.

By the way, in 1936 a couple of hundred families from Michigan were disinterested with life in the U.S. and decided to go to Russia, They had a right to leave and were given a farewell.
Within a few years they found out it wasn't as rosy as they thought it would be, all but a few that had died or been arrested, came back with their tails between their legs.

BY the way, besides the Jews, the Nazi war machine hated anything that wasn't Arian, even their own people, that couldn't prove it.
Jews, disabled, black, Catholics, all outsiders that couldn't prove they were Arian.

Start with the Nuremburg Laws, the Wannsee Protocol and go from there. The Nazis were VERY efficient at reducing everything to paper.
Primary point - you could get shipped off to a Concentration Camp for looking at the wrong person the wrong way - literally.
"What's wrong with Communism?" How old are you and how much do you like your 144 channels on the TV? It sure was simpler living in the Gulag - all you had to worry about was living one more hour.

Pure communism as describe by Karl Marx is autopian way of life. However Lenin and a few other people got invovled. The version it became wasnt any better than Nazism. Might wanna read:

There is no apostrophe in nazis. This is misuse of punctuation.

To answer your question:

hating Jews wasn't so much a rule, more part of their doctrine.

Gypsies, pagans and non-whites were also targetted.

Well, the SS certainly had to have their blood group tattood under their arm. It became a bit of a giveaway when they were later trying to escape the authorities.
