Many possible reasons, depending on your mouse.
Essentially, it happens with optical mouses (with that little red light on the bottom).
In this case, it is due to the surface underneath or dirt on/near the "light" (sensor).
Clean the mouse underside.
Put it on a UNIFORM colour, semi-reflective surface.
(IE: if it were just above a dark line on white bkg, it may stand just at the threshold, hence giving an inaccurate "reading" that translates as a movement)

Have you got a work tablet with an extra wireless mouse as part of the package?.

If so remove the wireless mouse from the tablet and put away until needed.

It is because of the surface your mouse is on. You can fix it by either using a different surface or getting a high definition mouse. They are about 14 bucks at walmart.

My computer does that to me sometimes. I believe it is because the computer is being slow at that time and is going crazy, or the mouse is just being pushed because something (a book or cup) is pushing against it. Computers always have weird things that happen. But the mouse moving across the page always happens to me.

If u use an optical mouse, make sure that t surface/pad u use it on is non reflective in nature...Light needs to be reflected back for t sensor to move as per ur movement..If the surface is shiny or glass, it can cause ur problem for obvious reasons..

Do rate if it helped ya..
