Reading this question 2 people come to mind Mary Sequol - (not sure whether the name spelt right.) She couldn't find a job as a nurse in Britain due to racism, so when the Crimean was fought she brought passage and then spent her life savings so she could get her own hospital. William Wilberforce.

Mmm... that's a toughie.

Female... I'd have to go with Audrey Hepburn, beauty, style, grace, and she helped people in 3rd world countries. Could anyone be more classy? I aspire to be like her, but still myself of course!

Male... that one's a lot harder. Maybe Teddy Roosevelt because he started the National Park system. Plus I love the saying he coined, "walk softly & carry a big stick."

Male - The guy who took a bullet when the police officer was being held at gunpoint. Luckily he lived. He restored my faith in humanity and reminded me that it is possible for someone to be in the right place at the right time.

Female - The young woman who got stabbed in the neck to save her baby. She was paralyzed from the neck down. She represents what motherhood means and was willing to give her life to save her child.

Two astounding people and I would love to know their names but sadly the media died out to make room for less important issues.

my dad, and girlfriend, coz they were the only ones who stuck by me when i was in crisis, the alchol and drugs had taking over me, i had no control for years, but they never give up on me regardless how hard a made things for them, and when i finnaly seen the light and got help went to detox and rehab again they were the only ones who believed in me, and the only ones who gave me encouragment, all the rest had no faith in me, now in clean and soba 19 months and the rest of them think they can now be a major part of my life, but im not really interested, they say you find out who really cares when your in a crisis, well i did, i owe my life to them for never giving up on me.
