Chanel No. 5 was my mother's favorite, and always reminds me of her. She died 28 years ago Sept. 29th, but that scent always takes me back.

America by Perry Ellis brings back memories. I really liked that stuff. I don't even know if they make it anymore. Back when I had a lot of money, I used to buy that. Now I live more like an ascetic monk and don't buy any fragrances at all, unless it's as a gift for someone else.

Fresh lilacs and warm rain on asphalt both instantly bring back childhood memories. I finally have a decent size lilac shrub after 14 years of babying it along in California! My Mom had 20 foot lilac shrubs in the middle west! I've never smelled any perfume that even comes close to that fresh lilac scent!

Emeraude always reminds me of spending summers at the lake. I don't wear the perfume, but I love the bath powder.

Wet dust in a thunder storm. I shut my eyes and go back to an innocent time when I could change my world.

Cinnamon always makes me think of my childhood. Whenever I was sick, my mom used to ALWAYS make me Cinnamon Toast. Now, whenever I smell cinnamon I think of my Mom taking care of me when I was a child.
