i lived 40 years of my life thinking i was egyptian, that i have a father who is egyptian, a mother who is egyptian, a brother and two sisters that are egyptians, but i log onto y/a to discover that i know absolutely nothing about myself and others know me better so i am in the process of changing my papers, they speak with such conviction, confidence and assurance they convinced even me, the problem still remains, do i tell my mother ?

I found that I am not Egyptian either, after I served in the Egyptian army almost two years in nemra 6 in Ismalia, do you think they would confiscate my beautiful green passport? (OMG , this is the biggest passport I have)….Do u think I can sue them and have some fund back for this period I spent in the Army? hahahahah

British English, which is a 'foreign accent' to me, is absolutely the coolest of anything, except in its most crude dialects (and I'd say the same and worse about the crude dialects of my own American accent). The French girls are amazing though, yes. But also, I've found the Dutch accent to be pretty interesting. And I happen to like the German accent myself. Heidi Klum... rrrraow.

inventing stories like this one can not fool anybody. Before doing this again you should respect the intelligence of others. Nobody can be a diplomat before investigating his background very thoroughly. find another story.

I imagine your parents, who are clearly highly educated and high profile people in the political world, already know where they come from; and have concluded that it doesn't matter.

She knows already.
They were hiding this from you to save you from embarrassment. But.... as you know, you cant hide things like that for long time.
I am sure that you will get over it and we all will help you if you need.
