I am kind of a shy person. I am a sophmore in College and I dont have any friends. Guys just hit on me and want to be "more than friends" so I stay away from them. Girls dont ever talk to me, and I have no idea how to start up a conversation with them. I have lived here for two years and the only contacts on my cell are my family. I just want to know how I can make some friends in College this year. Can anyone give me any tips or pointers??

i have the same problem !!! iM tooo shy and when itc omes to trying to introduce yourself to girls youjust cant. Im not in college bu i am a mom and and dont have any friends either. I guess you should try to communicate in class that would be the best way . :)

that's too harsh after 2 years living on that place still you don't have any friends? Start smiling at them then introduce yourself to them. if the girls keep on avoiding you, try to join some affiliations there you can meet other people . well if still nobody wanna makes friend with you, then i offer myself to be your friend. oops i'm not kidding..if your interested just send an email to my e mail address - loreliedejao@yahoo.com...i'm willing to have a friend across the globe!

i am only in high school.....so i am not sure about things in college.....but i guess what you can do is try to break out of being so shy......try smiling at people, going to parties that are hosted, start talking more in your classes, ask questions in your classes more (people will start to notice you by doing that), if there are clubs go to those, and whenever you have the chance to get to know someone....introduce yourself, be energized, and just smile and talk.......i know this because i am shy too........but yeh...

Most of the time you make friends from your classes. I think that's how most people do it unless they live in a dorm where they make friends from the dorm.
You could also try to find other people who are looking for friends in college also and maybe that will work.

First of all, do you know yourself completely? Are you aware of your likings, your feelings totally?
Know yourself better and then try to look around with that vision. You will find friends..a lot.. just ask yourself what kind of friend ship you want and what kind you can give in return...

Your cousin and 'associates' are jerks. There are greater greater beneficial human beings obtainable than them. i could never believe your cousin or those human beings returned. they're crude. Time to make new associates :3 Heey. i'm a sophomore too!

any activities that are goin on at your school,like party,jobs,classmates ask around,go to the club...now i know that you shy but your in college now so break out of that shy shell
