I would like to take 2 majors in University. I currently know that Simon Fraser University in British Columbia allows that. I was wondering if anyone had knowledge of any others.

If so, please provide me with the list of schools you know that offers this option.

Thank you.

Within most four year universities, a major is determined by the number of classes you take within a specfied concentration.

One thing to note with double majors, be sure to speak to a counselor or someone at the university. Some double majors are more practical than others and sometimes there will be an overlap in courses you can take advantage of (one class can be counted in multiple disciplines).

Feel free to email me if you have any additional questions... but I do not know of any four year universities that do not allow double majors.

I can't answer specifically for your region, but I'm pretty sure most colleges will let you double major. I'm a double major (with a minor!) and it was never brought up as a problem at any of the universities I looked at or the one I am currently at.

You should make an inquiry at the colleges you are interested in attending. Ask them specifically about the two areas you are interested in. Many schools will allow students to design specific double majors if their plan makes sense.
