Umm what game are you playing. Just kidding. There is not an age limit on the games. There is a suggested age on being too young to play certain games. Do not let video games be the main focus of your life at 17 though. There are many things to do other then play video games and that might be what your parents are wanting to say. I am not saying run out and join the baseball team or anything, just see what you parents want you to do other then play video games. I might say come to a semi decent agreement since you are still living with them. Freedom is comming soon.

It doesn't really matter what age you are as long as you still enjoy it. I have friends in their 60s that enjoy their video games during retirement, and I know housewives in their 50s that play video games because they need some form of entertainment while stuck at home watching the kids.
Don't let other people judge what is right and wrong for you, you know what best suits you. Just make sure it stays entertainment and not move into the realm of an addiction.

Nope one can never be too old to play video games.
Take me for example, I'm about to be 60 years old in November.
I really got into this gaming thing when the Atari came out. Haven't stopped since. Got a wife, 2 kids, and 6 grand kids.
I got my 2 kids into gaming, and i am trying to corrupt my grand kids.

No such thing as too old for video games, 27 right here (married with children) been playing video games for 18 or 19 years now. I have no intentions of quitting anytime soon (or ever for that matter).

your never too old to play them. your parents either want you to do better in school, get a job, or get out of the house. you cant even legally buy the M rated games yet, unless its 17, i forget the limit. 17 or 18. but thats besides the point.

(gasp) I can't believe this. No matter what someone says you are never to old to do ANYTHING especially games, i mean they can be a kind of lifestyle for some people and for others it is a great way to reduce stress and gt your mind off things. I know a guy 22, he's in university and still finds time to play a PS2 and pass all his courses.

As long as you know when to stop to take care of real life things. You're never too old for video games.
