An average set of tennis takes about 45 minutes, so a two set match averages about 1 to 1 1/2 hours, a three set match will usually go about 2 to 2:15.

Four and five set matches (played in men's grandslam matches) can go on for between 3 to 5 hours.

Mostly, how long a set takes depends on whether or not the players are both playing at the same level. If one player is dominant and wins the sets easily, the match will obviously be quicker. Instead of taking 45 minutes to win a set, a player might win a set 6-2 and it will only take them 25-30 minutes. So non-competitive matches usually go by much faster and a best of 3 set match won 6-2, 6-1 can be won in less than an hour.

However in a competitive match where both players are holding serve until the tiebreak, or break each others serve equally, the sets can go on for much longer. A set won 7-6 can take a whole hour or more. So even a close 3 set match can last up to 3 hours.

But on average, a standard semi competitive match lasting 2 sets should last about 1 hour, 15 minutes and a 3 set match should take about 2 hours or so.

It depends. Some matches are best out of 3 or 5 sets. The length of the match also depends on skill levels. If the skill level between the players is very unequal then it would be faster than a match with players with the same skill level.

For the professional tours such as at the Grand Slams I heard the other day that the women's matches last about an hour and for the men it can be about 2 hours. With some of the men's matches just in the first week of the U.S. Open some of them have gone nearly 4 hours for 2 of them and almost 5 for another one.

For the regular stops the pros go to it can be about 1-2 hours.

well the KKR will finish up the tournament on a high note and it will automatically help the RCB to qualify for the playoffs. the only advantage for Sunrises is the home support otherwise the whole country will be supporting the KKR for RCB.
