I have an all or nothing personality but through the help of great mentors through my old job and my husband and some challenges that just happen in life I learned a few things.

You need a plan and then you need to break that plan down into phases or steps and than you need to work that plan while trying to maintain balance in your life.

Write down your 1-5-10yr goals.
Recognize which goals that you have the ability to achieve through hard work and those that are sometimes just fate. A degree is an achievable goal, a better job is an achievable goal, maybe with a different company, but still achievable. Falling in love and getting married and having babies, you have to be open to the possibilities of what life is going to offer you and stick to your standards.

The most important thing is to remember that every thing is built in this world step by step and brick by brick.

You will get there if you just take your steps one at a time.

Sometimes it helps to write things down and set your goals in order of how and when you can accomplish them. If it is a small goal you can work on it and finish it. If it's a huge goal see the ways and time constraints as well as any financial or other things that you have to overcome to finish them? Are they really obtainable in the time you are giving yourself? If not then rethink your goal and make the changes on paper and keep a list of each thing that you finish, give yourself a star or a reward besides food LOL to celebrate it!
We all have goals that we think of but never do...that is normal. Others are over achievers and that is normal for them. When you set many goals and are so caught up in the goals that you can't finish any of them, it's time to set it down on paper and think it out. Is this a goal I really can commit to? Is it a goal that will better my life and make my life easier...like education and a better paying job? If so, you might want to get that one going and finished, even if it takes a while. In the long run it will help you accomplish your other goals. If it is to the point that none of this works and your thoughts are always racing, you might need to see a Dr. and maybe be put on an antidepressant to help you concentrate...this is a symptom of depression that many people don't recognize. Life changes can really make this worse and at times you can use medication to get through a period of time and later when it seems to be falling into place again and your life is back on track, you can sometimes ask the Dr. to take you of the meds. It's ok to seek help if you need it. Good luck and prayers coming your way.

Nothing wrong in having goals in life it's the way you approach them.
You will never be able to achieve all your goals in one fell swoop so, prioritise them.
Make a wish list of all the things you wish to achieve and slowly start working your way through it.
Best of luck.
