This would be a lot easier if you were more specific. Right now, you could be talking about European soccer, NCAA football, or NFL football. IF you were to ask the best NCAA football team, even though i disagree with it, I would have to say USC because they are ranked number 1 in the country right now. If you mean the number 1 team in the NFL, I would have to say the indianapolis colts becauase no one has played a game yet and they won the last super bowl.

It is all a matter of perspective. I think that the best football team of all time is definitely the Dallas Cowboys, although they don't look like it right now.
