Michigan will not be ranked in the top 25. It will be the first time a team will have failed that much, but it will happen. Just wait.
Why?
1. Because the present poll is based on pre-season rankings and this is the first shot at evaluation.
2. No witter (AP) will put 0-1 team will a loss to the Sub Division Level in their top 25. It would question their integrity too much.
If it was later in the season and Michigan had a few wins already, then maybe not knocked down too far. But this is the first game out, and mark my words they will not be in the top 25.

AP electorate at the instant are not allowed to vote for I-AA communities. and whether they could, no they shouldn't. Appalachian State did a great activity doing what they did and that they deserve each and all the attention they have have been given, yet they have been taking part in a Michigan team that for sure phoned it in. you're able to do this generally, yet each now and then those hire-a-win communities can get pumped up adequate to beat you. I promise you that if ASU have been to play even a mid-point I-A team, that team could make certain which you do not underestimate them with the intention to not be the team that replaced into disenchanted by a I-AA college and does not lose. Emotion performs a extensive function in college soccer, that's what occurred Saturday.

Dude, first of all if they looked like Ohio State then they would have been losing to Florida not winning against Michigan - secondly I think Michigan will fall pretty far but won't be off the radar completely as much as preseaon games have to do with ranking things don't get interesting until the conference part of the schedule that to me is when it really counts as far as bowl games and stuff with all the conference tie ins.

Fair and square, yes. Those things you mentioned just make Michigan sound fair, maybe even poor. By the way, I am anybody against a Big Ten team.

i think that michigan shouldnt be ranked, but they will be. chad henne, a supposed heisman hopeful, threw a late interception against a lower division team. no matter how good they are, you cant do thatwith a heisman hopeful. not to mention the funmble by michigans backup HB. and theres their excuse.mike hart was hurt, of course he came back in and scored on a 54 yard touchdown, but they will remained ranked because of that short time he was out. again, this loss in inexcusable, but they will remain ranked. As much as you might think that they might be unranked in the next rankings, the fact is they still have a shot at the Big 10 title. They definitely have some work cut out for them, but wins against Wisc. and OSU woul definitely salvage this season. So even though they looked horrible today, you know they still have a potent offense and its still a possibility.

Of Course, Michigan choked, no question!
They deserve to lose and get killed with the rankings this week!
They are going to have a rough time chasing a bowl game!

Sure, they beat them fair and square. They were the better team. Michigan was vastly overrated, and doesn't deserve to be ranked.
