I'm 17 years old in the last few months I've lost 15kgs/ 33pounds. I havn't done anything or changed my diet or don't more exercise or anything!

I'm still 'normal' weight for my height my BMI is about 20 (last time I checked). I'm still losing weight and people are noticing.

Should I be worried that this weight is falling off?

Has your oral contraceptive prescription changed ? Different formulations, have varied impact on serum insulin levels, and serum testosterone levels. Historically OC, have caused hyperinsulinemia and elevated testosterone. Higher than normal, of these two hormones, will have a negative impact on body composition.

Another area to consider is stress. Has your life become less stressful ? Stress, will often cause weight gain.

I would be nice to determine what caused the weight loss, and whether or not it was a positive event. Given the limited information, I tend to think it was a positive event, i.e., you moved lower, within a normal BMI range. You probably where quite high in the normal range, given you lost thirty-three pounds.

What really is important, is how you feel, and how you feel about yourself. Do you consider yourself to be in better athletic condition, or are you in a weakened state? Is your "sports performance", e.g., soccer, tennis, track, better or worse ? How do you like your overall appearance, when you look in the mirror ? Has it improved, or diminished ?

I am the equal manner. There are a couple of at house therapies you'll be able to check out. I uncover rest approaches similar to yoga, respiring sporting events stretching can paintings. Finding a completely satisfied location, a amusing reminiscence or favourite endeavor you'll be able to feel approximately. For a few men and women track will paintings, gambling a favourite tune can modify you mind-set. If you suppose as although not anything works it's continually really helpful to move speak to a therapist. There could also be anything triggering your strain that may be resolved. Good good fortune.

That happened to me at the same age. I did NOTHING different. I went to the doctors multiple times to see if there was anything wrong, and I was fine. I've come to the conclusion that it was probably the equivelant of a "growth spurt". Maybe my body was getting rid of "baby fat"? Anyway, didn't matter. I gained it back when I was a sophomore in college going out to eat everyday with my BF and BFF.

Hi Wabby, If you are having weather like we are in California
I can see why you are losing weight. The hot weather you tin
to eat less and you sweat a lot of water out in this heat. Just drink a lot of water and eat good food, cut out all junk foods and sodas you will be fine and you will put your weight back on give it time.
Lol

I wouldn't worry too much, you will just lose more weight :) It is likely a normal bodily shift but I would suggest seeing a doc anyway, anytime something strange is going on with your body it is always a good idea to consult with a physician, major issues can be mad elittle annoyances when caught early. Good luck to you!
