Because they hope fans will tune in to see CM Punk win the title, so they advertise the title match by giving it away. They've done this for every Smackdown title change, so since ECW's taped as well, they'll do it for ECW.

It is in the hopes that more people will tune in to see CM Punk win the title.
BTW 74blank71 ECW usually does air live on Tuesday nights as they record Smackdown for Friday before it on Tuesday then have the live ECW broadcast but because they are going overseas this week they tapes both ECW and Smackdown yesterday and will be taping Raw tonight.

the show was taped in advance as well as Mossison's name showed up on the list of stars that bought drugs from the online pharamcy meaning more than likely he will be suspended and thats why the put the title on him, look for jeff hardy to beat umaga for the IC title for the same reason

Ok its like this....ECW gets recorded every SATURDAY which means its live but on TUESDAY they show ECW but iits recorded from SATURDAY and i think they show te results early because Mr.McMahon is still whacky about LOSING the ECW Title
