How could someone possibly do that? I just do not understand this at all....I have never heard of it...but is this still legal?? This is a fairly old site I believe so just wondering.
If it IS still legal how is that NOT considered murder? If the baby is clearly struggling...??? For the question...Is it legal now? Thanks in advance.

I do agree that a mother should be able to make a choice (I am not FOR abortion, but still you should be able to decide...) but this is ridiculous!!

I agree kayla...if a mother is gonna have an abortion atleast figure it out in the first 8 weeks...
And...what do you mean how awful it must be for the mother?!? She made the baby.,..atleast have it and put it up for adoption!! I understand there is rape and everything, but you still have other options that THIS!

Partial birth abortion was banned in 2002, and has been challenged repeatedly since then. The Supreme Court upheld the decision in April of 2007. It is illegal.

l am shocked, and also wondering if it is a site for shock value or if its real, now why the hell would a mother giving birth do this and not place baby up for adoption, l would assume this would also be a hell of a lot more painful for the mother giving birth???? it should be considered murder, as l thought any pregnancy after 20 weeks was classed as a legal baby, how could it not be murder and why not have a abortion before 8 weeks, this is absolutely sick and these women should never be allowed to have children again

Those websites are pure propoganda, don't believe anything you see on them. So called "partial-birth" abortion, which is medically referred to as late-term abortion, is not legal except in cases where the mother's life may be in danger. Modern abortions are procedures in which a small cluster of cells are removed. Nothing resembling a human baby is ripped screaming from a woman's body. But the people who run those sites want you to believe otherwise. That is unfortunate, because such misleading information really skews an issue that has become so politically important. And please don't listen to the ridiculous teenagers who have answered your question with things like "yeah its legal and democrats do it all the time." Thats the sad result of listening to your parents when your parents do not, in fact, know what they are talking about at all.

It is legal in many states. Each state has the power to make it illegal if they so choose. This is due to an April, 2007 decision, known as Crawford.
Quite frankly, I think it should indeed be legal. I don't have the right to tell another woman what to do with her body or her baby.
Think for a minute, how awful it must be that a mother feels she must do something like this rather than bring her baby into the world. Just what kind of a situation makes a woman feel THAT badly? It must be horrid.

Abortion was invented by God and is used every day by God in the form of miscarriage and natural abortion. Each time a fetus is allowed to pass, it saves enough resouces to save the lives of 12 living children. So by saving the "fetus" you are causing the death of 12 children. How is that not mass murder? How can you be so cruel?
When God aborts does he kill the soul or simply take the body? Is it murder on his part or mercy? If you could read the minds of those who want these abortions, would they be evil, or would they have justifiable reason? Of course, you don't know the answer. Only God knows and that is why it should not be in your power to over-rule the wishes of the person that is carrying the fetus.

If the baby is carried full term, and gets as far as labor, what the hell are they thinking when aborting it that far along? That's murder, in my eyes.
...And I'm for abortion o.O

It's still legal in a few states. (No more than 4). And they (legal people...) don't consider it murder because the umbilical cord is still attached, and as soon as the head is pushed partially out, they kill it...hence "partial birth".

It is a Christian site...not a government one. Plus, you have to be a critical reader and decide if the information given is actually true. Yes, it is horrible.
There is no way a person can justify killing another human being like this.
Just because something is legal does not make it right.
The Government is not here to dictate righteousness or morality, although sometimes they try to.
There is nothing right about killing and butchering the fruit of your own womb.
