No! It just shows that they can play with the big boys of college football, except for the fact that Michigan was ranked way too high.

I think a lot of I-A teams will be nervous if they have a game scheduled against a top-ranked I-AA team coming up (hear that, B.C.?).

The I-A Bowl system is crap. It makes the season essentially worthless, the seasons are usually easy with a few "creampuff" teams lined up and the selection to the Bowl Games are based on a poll, not merit.

I-AA teams have to fight and scrap to win their divisions and the champion is determined by a real playoff tournament. I-A may have the bigger talent (and money), but I-AA is much more competative.

I know 2 conferences that will never schedule them again, Big 10 with 11 teams and the not so mighty SEC. They are the only 2 conferences that play D 1-AA opponents year in and year out.

Maybe now these so called power conferences will stop playing D 1AA opponents and schedule better competition like the USC Trojans.

Michigan fans know this team is on the downturn, and this is solid proof. It's time for Lloyd Carr to go his merry way, change is in the air.
