my van was towed illegally today. as a result i lost over $210 in business. is there a legal case for me to recoup that money?

it was illegal because:
1.) it was towed because of "no resident parking sticker"
2.) there WAS a resident parking sticker on my van, i've been living here for 4 years!

More information needed. What were the circumstances? How do KNOW that it was towed illegally. If the tow company did tow it legally then small claims court is the place to go.
