The new style is not matching your eye shadow with your clothes...today I had on pink, green and blue eye shadow and it looked beautiful...the only thing I had on that may have matched was the fact that I had on blue jeans...Just wear something bright.

A deep greyish plum type purple is the best option that is NOT bright and crazy, to go with your eyes AND your dress. Purple is complimentary to yellow - in colour theory that means that the human eye finds purple and yellow pleasing together, and they will compliment each other. A dull colour of purple will keep it simple and neutral. Purple also looks great with green, because purple and green form what is called a triadic relationship (a triad because orange falls in the same category, making it three), and it will make your eyes stand out. I would do a smokey style. If you are really against purple, try a navy, it is similar enough to get the same benefits when it comes to colour relationships. If you are willing to do a crazy colour, I would go for a bright teal or very bright yellow.

Cover Girl has "Eye Slicks" Gel Eye Color in a silver/grey color, called "Midnight Metal" , thats flattering to any color eye.It can be used as a liner or a shadow. I think that would be great with a bright yellow dress. Gold would be too all over one color. you need some contrast too.

For a bright yellow dress, pick a set of neutral colors like grays or browns, and a nude/bronzed or pink/peach lip, depending on your coloring.

i think make up depends more on your skin tone than it does the color of your outfit. but from what i've heard, neutral tones have been very "in" as far as make up goes. i put alot of emphasis on my eyelashes and eyebrows, because that really makes a difference and can be more noticeable than the color of my eye makeup.
