This could be construed as tautology..eg Oscar Wilde once wrote " a cynic is one who knows the price of everything,and the value of nothing" while Lillian Hellman countered with "cynicism is an unpleasant way of telling the truth"..there is a middle ground you seek that I have struggled with over the years and have found to my own sanity that relieves it ..Do not be bitter..poison is poison..it can infect your well .. 'up jumped the devil' sang Robert Johnson..kick him in the nuts and Forward Ho! Life is too short to change the world,your world is another question...I still kick against the pricks but don't shed blood..Ideas are very potent....

I am very cautious and can be cynical, but I can enjoy life as well. Time and experience are the best teachers. You have to watch out for people though, as they can get very strange at times even your close friends. Live life one day at a time.

no it's not fun but your environment plays a large part in at
least in my case it did.look at it this way when the only attention you receive is bad as in my example i come from an abusive family you eventually come to expect that kind of treatment from everyone you meet,and in defense you don't believe that people are capable of anything but harm.and it becomes nearly impossible to trust anyone you don't already know.
