Turns out my ancestry includes Pepin, Charles Duke of Franks, and his son Pepin Le Beuf King of Franks........Is that Pepin "the Short"?

Thanks for your help! The print is extraordinarily small on this paper, and it is indeed "le Bref" upon further inspection!

It's Pépin le Bref, which does mean short.

all i know is that shia le beuf (i think its the holes actor) name means thank god for beef. hope that helps:))

i'm not sure if that is spelled correctly, might be le boeuf, which means beaf/meat. sorry i don't know beuf.
